PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE BIRD-CAGE STRATEGY IN MEASUREMENTS OF OUT-OF-CYLINDRICITY

  • Abstract:
    Standards concerning Geometrical Product Specifications recommend a „bird-cage” strategy of cylindricity measurements as a strategy that provides the most reliable results. The paper presents concept of adjustment of a typical radial instrument to cylindricity measurements with use of the “bird-cage” strategy and results of an experimental verification of the developed concept.
