Development and Validation of Analytical Methods for the Determination of Mycotoxins in Food

  • Abstract:
    For enforcement purposes and for reliable surveillance programs, the availability of validated methods for determining food contaminants with performance characteristics that meet certain minimum criteria is mandatory. A brief overview of recent activities carried out at the Institute of Sciences of Food production, National Research Council of Italy (ISPA-CNR) on the development and validation of analytical methods for the determination of mycotoxins in food is presented.
