CALIBRATED CAD MODEL OF FREEFORM STANDARD

• Abstract:

  The quality and relevance of reference standard in CAD-based metrology is significantly influenced by shape correspondence of the standard and its CAD representation. Based on geometrical-mathematical approach, a new freeform reference standard has been developed and manufactured so that its CAD model can be easily modified according to the values measured on physical standard. A two-stage calibration method for calibrated CAD model of the standard development is described in this paper.
